SDAD Current Exhibition
March 20th thru April 11

SDAD is proud to present the
"TEACHING ART" featuring artwork by our amazing team of Instructors.

The exhibition will also be featuring the artwork of Irene Corey (SDAD Community Artist Member) on the "featured artist wall," as well as, student and member artwork throughout the studio!

The exhibition runs March 20 - April 11, 2010.

Explore the magical world of encaustic painting and discover a lost art that has intrigued painters for over 2000 years. Encaustic means "to heat or to burn" so heat is used at every level. During this four hour workshop you will learn the history of encaustic, safety practices, use of equipment and basic techniques including photo transfer, collage, and incising. You will have many opportunities to work and leave at the end of the day with examples of your own encaustic art. (All supplies included)
